With his latest inspirational tune, “UNDEFEATED,” Texas rapper and composer H4C has done an excellent job of creating something unique. Instrumentally, it’s fantastic, taking the hip hop vibe to new and imaginative realms, yet with a sprinkle of classic melodies and other characteristics.
Robert Lewis Hall Jr, a.k.a. (MR. WORLDWIDE, MR. INTERNATIONAL, MR. H4C, HOLLYWOOD 4 CHRIST, HUNGRY 4 CHANGE, HOLLYWOOD 4RM CRACK YEAH ALL THAT), was born on December 9, 1984, is happily single, and has been divorced twice.
He graduated from South Hills High School in 2003. Higher schooling resulted in the acquisition of a Criminal Justice degree, a Dental Assistant license, and a Barber license.
He is a biological father to five children. R’NIYAH, R’NAJAH, RAYVEON, RAEVYN, and SY’RAHBI Halls He makes substantial contributions to the community; all of his peers, o.g.s, and young g’s admire who he is and what he does; the kids refer to him as Uncle Rob, Pastor Rob, Uncle Daddy, and so on.
Musically, things begin slowly with a spoken word intro, followed by an encouraging yet straightforward hip hop beat, an equally uplifting narration, and a genuine welcome to the composition and the artist’s ways.
H4C’s “UNDEFEATED” features an unexpectedly familiar beat as its backdrop — you’re probably already familiar with the artist’s vocals. This severe but soft tone exudes a relaxing sense of authenticity. Along with that, the music contributes significantly to the enthusiasm and ambiance.
There’s a carefree or relaxed expression to the whole thing – the soundscape, the bounce of the beat, and the lyrics all go hand in hand – so you get the storyline, and you get the character, and you let it do its thing, which it does beautifully and well. The words even cleverly connect to the music loop — an aspect of the soul that adds to the song’s natural authenticity.
“UNDEFEATED” is refreshing and inspiring; the concept and execution have a really natural and honest feel to them. H4C performs what comes easily, rather than pushing too hard to fit further into the wrong kind of frame, and this single is a terrific introduction to that. I’m excited to hear more.
