The weight and late-night gloom of rap, coupled with a story that captivates in a refreshing way — BEZELBOY keeps things relevant yet interesting on his latest release, NOISE.
BEZELBOY is a well-known figure in the music world, thanks to his epoch-making hip hop and rap songs.
The vocal tone and placement within the mix employ effects in a manner similar to those of several of BEZELBOY’s previous albums. Still, it is something a bit distinct about the meeting of melody and rap and the multiple layers of fragmented vocals on the outskirts – ultimately leaving stuff as underground and more broadly relevant all at once.
The style is one-of-a-kind, with an alternative feel that is more suggestive of a subculture influence than anything fully mainstream. The rap soundscapes, vocal clarity, biting lyricism, and brilliant rhymes are all here. NOISE by BEZELBOY is everything of this and more, starting with an attention-grabbing, unrelenting delivery that soon draws you in.
“NOISE” is a fantastic single. Because the singing is so perfectly captured, you can truly focus on the lyrics, which contain a rich mix of hot and cold impulses. “BEZELBOY” begins with some stunning unison vocals. They cover an octave of interest, seducing us towards an ambient ending. This comes on far too quickly, abruptly ending by forcing us to utilize the repeat option. It’s almost as though we’ve exited the warm mix and entered a tropical rainstorm.
