With this release, Tokyo, Japan pop-rocker Seikai K keeps the piece’s concept alive and well. The cover “Can You Feel The Love Tonight” delivers a single wonderfully composed song that connects in ways with the song’s core notion, driving with sweeping musical warm, silky piano and an equally delicate yet emotionally weighted leading voice.
Surprisingly melodic pop-rock with a translucent dance kissed core and a hint of genuine connection and infatuation, the composition feels like a classic alternative EDM hit from a simpler time. The hook, in particular, has an addicting familiarity to it, resolving wonderfully after the grit and fuzz of the verses that precede it.
Despite its excellent arrangement, familiarity with the synths, and lyrical simplicity, the music still delivers more than a few distinct characteristics for a fresh vibe.
The voice is a part of this, making it more approachable than most EDM releases – a delightful pop-rock delicacy. The set-up and details are both soulful and engaging, and they are all delicate, immaculate, and stunning.
Gorgeous vocals layout poetry and personal reflections in a surprising way, gently guiding you into the center of what is one final moment of anthem-like unity. What an artist. What a piece of music. Absolutely worth looking out for.
