Las Vegas, Nevada – Voice of Glass, the alternative goth rock band founded by American guitarist David Meek and Ukrainian-Bulgarian vocalist Olya Meek in 2002, has released a new EP titled “Hours” featuring David Warner. The EP was recorded at Electric Shop Recording Studio in Las Vegas and promises to showcase the band’s signature blend of music mixed with elements of gothic, alternative and hard rock.
The EP “Hours” consists of three new tracks and follows the band’s previous releases: “Valley” Single (2006), Millennium Studio, Sofia, Bulgaria; “Song Of Songs” Single (2006), Sound Design Studio, Plovdiv, Bulgaria; “Making Me Real” EP (2007), Ardent Studios, Memphis, Tennessee and “The End of You” Full Album (2011), Fairview Recording Studio, Chicago, Illinois.
The lyrics of the title track “Hours” is both poignant and powerful. With lines like “I’m holding to my last hour left, see all my dreams now slipping away”, the song captures the essence of the band’s philosophy. The chorus is an ode to hope and optimism, with the lyrics “I will crush all this sorrow, I know I’ll win. All despair, all my pain I’ll put to end. Death, you own me no more. I will live, I will rise above.”
Voice of Glass has come a long way since its inception in 2002, having lived and worked in Bulgaria, Hawaii, Las Vegas and Chicago. In the spring of 2007, Voice Of Glass went on tour in most major cities in Bulgaria while having two music videos, “Valley” and “Song Of Songs”, being played regularly on local music TV channels, with “Song Of Songs” reaching No. 5 on the Top 20 International music chart on MMTV. The summer of the same year, the band embarked on an extensive tour in the United States, returning for a second year of touring in the spring of 2008.
With its unique blend of music, powerful lyrics and memorable performances, Voice of Glass is set to take the world by storm once again. The new EP “Hours” promises to be a testament to the band’s resilience, optimism and the power of hope.
