With his latest smash, “UNDEFEATED,” Fort Worth Texas’ budding singer, songwriter, and composer H4C punches hard and presents an unmistakable take on contemporary hip hop that is immersed in a few different sources of inspiration.
Robert Lewis Hall Jr, a.k.a. (MR. WORLDWIDE, MR. INTERNATIONAL, MR. H4C, HOLLYWOOD 4 CHRIST, HUNGRY 4 CHANGE, HOLLYWOOD 4RM CRACK YEAH ALL THAT), was born on December 9, 1984, is happily single, and has been divorced twice.
He graduated from South Hills High School in 2003. Higher schooling resulted in the acquisition of a Criminal Justice degree, a Dental Assistant license, and a Barber license.
He is the biological father of five kids. Halls R’NIYAH, R’NAJAH, RAYVEON, RAEVYN, and SY’RAHBI he contribute significantly to the community; all of his peers, o.g.s, and young g’s have high regard for who he is and what he does; the youth regard him as Uncle Rob, Pastor Rob, Uncle Daddy, and so on.
Despite its peaceful and welcoming atmosphere, the opening riff, for example, has a definite compelling vibe that begins with a spoken word entrance. The following beat, in comparison, has a much more traditional rap vibe — which works great. It’s nostalgic and straightforward in creating the tone and providing the groundwork for the following lyricism.
H4C’s voice is undeniably another good element for the release and, ultimately, for his overall sound. The tone and delivery are far more classical or nostalgic than the vast majority of contemporary hip-hop recordings.
It’s a sound that seems authentic, soulful, and earnest — it makes you want to listen, and it carries the rhythm and compassion of lyricism in a bold yet seamless way.
H4C has done an excellent job at creating something new with this. Instrumentally, it works wonderfully, taking the hip hop sound to new and innovative places, albeit with a sprinkling of throwback synths and other components.
H4C’s vocal and engaging visuals take full advantage of these last minutes, delivering a really emotional yet calm and collected performance that perfectly complements the track’s mood. A solid way to exit, adding energizing yet encouraging bars to the music and reminding you of who he is as an artist.
