Naomi (Stage name N@OM1) is an upcoming EDM and House artist based in San Francisco. “Thrill” is one of the amazing tracks that she released to all the audience out there. NO@M1 is an awesome singer and also songwriter. She actively collaborates with Producers/DJ’s around the world as well. It was a real delight to hear the quiet explosion that takes place in the music of NO@M1.
It’s never what you expect, and that’s what’s great about it. It surrounds you and takes you somewhere new, and then it completely redirects you when you least expect it, but not to the point of losing you. I actually felt like I didn’t want to miss a moment. Thrill is a track worth taking home. When you listen a few times in a row, it suddenly makes perfect sense, and it affects you, hopefully, much more than most of the songs you’ll hear lately.
Having been inspired by Sia, Tina Cousins, Jax Jones, David Guetta, this awesome soul wanted to make unique and quality music to all the music lovers around the world. NO@M1’s voice is the first thing to grab your attention, it kicks in right from the offset; the tone of it, the inflections she uses to enhance the notes – it makes the sound immediately very stylish, smooth, and easy to listen to. It’s undeniably a great voice, and on top of this; the music surrounding is of a mellow and almost EDM like nature. This whole thing feels new; it’s personal but entirely accessible, and clearly very meaningful, right to its core.
It’s a pretty stunning track on its own, to be fair, I’ve listened relentlessly to this one over the past few days – you can really turn it up loud and get lost in the music and the soundscape. Essentially though, what it does is force you to form ideas, to make up lyrics as you involve yourself in it, which is just fantastic – exactly the kind of effect producers, singers, and beatmakers should be looking to achieve if they hope to collaborate with other people.
