CALIFORNIA BAY AREA’s Shady Bruddaz teams up with Hollow, Jwar, HiT, and K.I in some deftly-performed unison vocals, which span an octave in an intoxicating fashion and lead us seductively toward an ambient conclusion.

Even at little more than three and a half minutes, there are times of diverse melody, beat refrain, and even rap that helps build something structurally planned yet always rhythmically mesmerizing and connected enough to really envelop the listener.

“Shady Gang pt. II” is incredibly captivating, whizzing through in around three and a half minutes and leaving you guessing if you blinked and missed it. The mix itself is immense, with vast slabs of sound compressed such that everything seems louder than everything else, and there’s a fantastic sense of whirling excess about the whole thing, giving the listening experience a mystical flavor.
The occasional vocal is sped up and strewn all over the track for additional ear delight, and some big bass slabs arise to add some gravity to the arrangement.
We are led through a fascinating narrative to the net effect of wanting to hit repeat since the music is top and tailed with the same intriguing sound states.
