“Spicy Tempo” returned this summer to release a beautifully heartfelt and soulful, smooth track with a rhythmic edge which is stunning. Spicy Tempo brings cheer with a timely banger dance track celebrating the Queen’s jubilee and the 4th of July! The composition features the whimsical nature of the Peruvian pan flute, majestic nature of the strings, the rich textural qualities of the various synth sounds along with guitars, flute, violin, piano, bells, bass and drums.Spicy Tempo drives the melody of the song with the genuine delicacy and flow of an electronic natural. Spicy Tempo’s production sees the song’s concept take center stage, offering gentle flickers of rhythm and color, but following the authentic movement and energy that is the essence of the song and its underlying sentiment in a gorgeously fitting manner.
Spicy Tempo works his own level of magic and originality throughout, and where the last single was something of an attention grabber, this one is undeniably a clear outlining of his abilities and his emotional connection to music. You get an inherent layer of realness throughout all of his work to date, and this, built in among a professionally crafted set of soundscapes, makes for something that is fitting yet refreshing among today’s ever-growing ocean of instrumental music.
“Jubilee” is a piece of music that gives you positive vibes – the dance-like backdrop, the retro instrumentation, the simplicity of the riffs. In other ways though, it seems to have a lot more to it – so much so that it in fact detaches itself from the artist and becomes far more a representation of the story-line behind it than anything singular or overly personal. This gives it a definite sense of power – you consider the issue of the forgotten laborers where you perhaps wouldn’t have before. The purely instrumental nature of the music – free from any use of language or lyrical arrows to direct you – lets your mind wander into the limitless depths of the concept and to even potentially put yourself in the position of those at the center of it.
The second time you hear this the opening ambiance offers a familiar, dreamlike sense of calm. The melody and the leading voice give off a confident and reliable groove. Then as the verses appear, you pay more attention to the outpouring, you catch up with the flow a little better, and the structure of the song – the evolution, the increasing levels of honesty – all work in a more memorable manner. The track is appreciative of a significant other in a beautiful way, and it doesn’t feel fake or forced. There’s something very genuine about the whole thing, building further on how likable it is. Hopefully there’s a lot more to come.
