MARK IMPERIAL, who is based in Sydney, was born in Australia, and raised in the Philippines, is regarded as one of the new emerging Pop-Rock performers with a distinct musical vision and taste.
When he was a youngster, he fantasized about establishing his Pop-Rock band with his friends, inspired by groups such as 5 Seconds of Summer, Blink-182, and Green Day. His love of music was inspired by his personal life experiences and unanticipated seasons, which inspired him as an artist.
On September 21, 2021 (his 23rd birthday), he presented to the public his first track, “HEARTBREAKER,” which was inspired by his experience and propelled by a vision to produce a “remedy” for brokenhearted people. The song was supposed to have a sorrowful, salty-emo vibe. Still, its vibrant and funny portrayal of heartbreak sent a positive message that passing through the season of brokenheartedness can also be enjoyable!
Lyrically, “HEARTBREAKER” is both reflective and hopeful, as the title suggests. There’s a reality in the verses, poetic honesty that seems tragic and heartbreaking in its depth, but there’s also a strong sense of possibility in the hook and entire theme.
