Songwriter and performer ZPEXTRE is back with a new Synth-pop tune titled “Electrify,” which is both remarkable and surprisingly artistic.
ZPEXTRE (pronounced “zip-X-tree”) is a California-based multi-instrumentalist. All forms of self-expression that contribute to the benefit of society and the future are valued by ZPEXTRE. He began his musical career as a punk rocker/skateboarder but ultimately drifted to the complexity of Avant-Garde, Jazz, and Classical Music.
ZPEXTRE began playing the piano and violin at the age of 12 and later performed in the college choir. He will continue to research the therapeutic effects and manifestations of music in our lives for the rest of his life. Having spent most of his life occupied in music, it was clear that the song genre was the ideal medium.
ZPEXTRE essentially presents a distinct approach to playing and writing on this record. The lyrics build on you, small phrases pose thoughts and images, and their repetition afterward encourages you to think about it all a little more.
Meanwhile, the music follows its own rhythmically addictive route, and the whole thing has a sense of progression or increasing vigor.
The sonic textures of ZPEXTRE’s music are somewhere between the nostalgic tones of a simpler time and the electronic, pop, or Synth-pop vibes that continue to brighten the airwaves even now, as is often the case with their music.
All of this combined makes it a tune for almost everyone who can appreciate the attraction of the melody, light bounce, and uplifting chord progression.
“Electrify” attracts with ease and keeps things unpredictable overall. It is confidently delivered, innovative, and pleasant in a freshly striking yet effective style. Upcoming ZPEXTRE releases will be great to hear.
