Leading with enjoyably creative sound design and a handful of impressive featured artists, Q Sav’s new single The City presents a conceptual and poetic, ambient journey, and speaks volumes on the upside of quarantine and what can be achieved when we’re gifted the time to be still and create. This track presents a notably unique soundscape and level of dreamlike detail – not to mention a refreshingly expressive, softly raspy, and soulful vocal lead. The lyrics are interesting, again fresh, and reflective of deeper issues. It’s produced by Q Sav who is a 22-year-old rising star from Northside Queens. Since his debut, he has tried to do something unique with his creative mindset.
Q Sav tirelessly looks out how to make his songs loved by anyone who listens to it. I think it has worked and some days he is the next big thing in the industry with the traction he is getting for his new track. With his sharp and straight lyrics, it’s not hard to guess why it’s loved by many. Great lyrical gems emerge throughout The City, along with a series of tracks and performances that are consistently easy to escape into. Really nicely crafted, indicative of superb songwriting and production skills. If anything, the song feels too short – hopefully, there’s more music on the way.
